How is the registration fee calculated?

Note that this only applies to the beta of registration.

We charge a per order fee on registration and our payment gateway, Stripe also charges a per-order fee. Here is everything you need to know.

Our Fees

We charge 1.5% + 99¢ for each order. That fee will be deducted from the ticket price. Free tickets have no fee.

Example 1:

You have a ticket for $45. When someone registers, we will deduct $1.67 and you will receive $43.33.

Example 2:

You have a ticket for $30. When someone registers with 2 attendees, we will deduct $1.89 and you will receive $58.11.

The examples do not include Stripe's fees.

Formula

fixedFee + orderTotal * (percentageFee / 100)

Example:

99 + 4500 * (1.5 / 100) = 166

Fees are calculated in cents and rounded down.

Actual Code (JavaScript)

const fee = {
  fixed: 99, // in cents
  percentage: 1.5
}
const totalPrice = 4500 // in cents

const applicationFee = fee.fixed + totalPrice * (fee.percentage / 100)
const applicationFeeRounded = Math.floor(applicationFee)

console.log(applicationFeeRounded)
// 166<br>

Stripe's Fees

At the time of this writing, Stripe charges 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction. You can find more details on their pricing here.
